Bio: I moved from my home in Houston, Texas to attend Kansas State University where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting in 2007. I currently reside in Manhattan, Kansas and continue to show my work regionally and nationally. I hope to obtain my Masters of Fine Arts in Painting within the next five years and aspire to teach painting and drawing at the university level.

"Above all, my paintings express a love for paint itself; the fleshy, textural quality of oil paint and its luminescence - its thick opacity versus liquid transparency. I work toward exploring the relationship between textural mark-making along with abstraction and individual expression. I work almost exclusively with the figure and am heavily influenced by the Bay Area Painters. I am inspired by contemporary artists Dana Schutz, Jenny Saville, and Cecily Brown who evoke the same aspects of weighted figural content along with a fluid and painterly surface."
